The Italian cycling apparel manufacturer, Castelli, will return to the Tour de France in 2027 after being named the official technical clothing partner of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) under a six-year agreement covering 27 cycling races and challenges.
The partnership will see Castelli design and manufacture classification jerseys across A.S.O.’s portfolio of professional races and mass-participation events. The agreement includes the Tour de France, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, La Vuelta a España, La Vuelta Femenina, Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, among other events.
The deal marks Castelli’s return to the Tour de France’s leader jerseys after more than three decades. The brand previously supplied the jerseys between 1989 and 1994, during a period that featured victories by Greg LeMond and Miguel Indurain.
Steve Smith, Global Brand Manager at Castelli, said, “This is a truly historic moment in Castelli’s 150-year history. For a global cycling brand, producing the Maillot Jaune of the Tour de France is the greatest honour there is, not to mention the jerseys for other major races such as Paris-Nice and La Vuelta. Returning to the Tour de France feels like coming home. We are incredibly proud of our heritage at the race, but even more excited about helping shape its future by equipping the next generation of champions with apparel that pushes the boundaries of speed, comfort and style.”
Yann Le Moënner, Chief Executive Officer of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), added, “This is not the first time Castelli and A.S.O. have joined forces around the Tour de France. Castelli previously produced the leader jerseys from 1989 to 1994, worn by some of the sport’s greatest champions, including Greg LeMond and Miguel Indurain. Once again, history meets the future: Castelli’s experience and expertise ensure that our leading riders will be equipped with products that meet the highest standards of quality.”
Beyond professional racing, the agreement extends to amateur cycling challenges, providing Castelli with a broader platform to engage with cycling enthusiasts. The arrangement also sees the Italian manufacturer replace Santini as the apparel supplier across the covered events.
The new jerseys are scheduled to be unveiled at the 2027 Tour de France route presentation in Paris on October 22, 2026.
The agreement reconnects Castelli with one of cycling’s most recognisable sporting properties while expanding its visibility across A.S.O.’s international racing calendar.
