The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026 is set to broaden its global audience reach through an expanded digital coverage strategy, introducing dedicated live feeds on YouTube and Meta platforms for the first time.
The 21st edition of the event will take place in New Delhi on October 18, with the initiative designed to deliver a more accessible and personalised viewing experience for runners, fans and audiences worldwide.
The expanded digital coverage will feature four dedicated YouTube live feeds: English commentary, Hindi commentary, the Great Delhi Run and a dedicated Finish Cam for the Open 10K and Open Half Marathon. The Hindi feed will focus on Indian races and athletes, catering to Hindi-speaking audiences, while the Finish Cam will capture runners crossing the finish line. The Great Delhi Run feed will showcase the event’s mass participation and community spirit.
Vivek Singh, Joint Managing Director, Procam International, said, “We have always sought to create innovative and engaging touchpoints for our runners, partners and stakeholders. Taking the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon to a wider audience through YouTube and Meta platforms is a natural extension of this approach. Our focus is on building a lasting digital connection with audiences, keeping them engaged with our events and communities throughout the year, while creating more ways to experience and engage with the race.”
Santosh Pillai, Founder, Initium Productions, added, “This transformation towards an always-on platform is founded on a simple belief: the future value of sporting movements will increasingly be determined not only by the audiences they attract when the event is staged, but by the relationships they build throughout the year. For Procam and promoters of other participative sports and transformation events, this represents an evolution from promoting world-class events to building India’s largest communities around sport, health and active living.”
The live telecast will also be available globally through the official World Athletics channel. Additionally, highlights from the event will be packaged for international media distribution across more than 90 countries, extending the visibility of its elite competition beyond India.
Initium Productions, a specialist sports content production house within the Procam International Group, will lead the expanded digital initiative. Its remit includes developing curated content, original series and runner-focused stories to sustain engagement beyond race day.
The strategy marks a broader shift in sports event distribution, combining live coverage with year-round storytelling to expand audience engagement, strengthen partner visibility and build a more enduring digital community around distance running.
