The agreement builds on the success of a first term that began in 2023 and during which Kuehne+Nagel enhanced the quality of logistical operations for FIBA events.
One partnership milestone is the reduction of FIBA’s global carbon footprint. The commitment to sustainable logistics solutions will remain at the heart of the extended partnership, in line with FIBA’s strategic objectives in terms of Sustainability and Innovation. Under the agreement, Kuehne+Nagel will again provide logistics assistance for major FIBA global and continental competitions, including the highly anticipated FIBA Basketball World Cup events for both men and women, being held in Germany this year and in Qatar next year.
Beyond competitions, Kuehne+Nagel’s support will extend across the broader FIBA ecosystem, helping National Federations, local organising committees, partners, and other stakeholders deliver their objectives, while also contributing to initiatives led by the FIBA Foundation.
They have already played a part in the successful transportation of the original 88-year-old South American Championship Trophy to its new home at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies.
